There was a break in the June gloom last Monday afternoon so I did a quick sortie at nearby Hahamongna Park in Pasadena. With the hope of just maybe, with the slightest of chances, see the Hooded Warbler reported to be there. Well, it wasn't there and so were most of the birds. What was lacking in avian fauna was well compensated for by the abundance of butterflies. Here are some of them:
